House Partnership appoints new regional partners
House Partnership has appointed two new regional partners.
Jasper Colliver (ex Savills, Hamptons International, and Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward) and Sam Wylie (formerly of Wylie & Co., EO Estate Agent, and James Pendleton) each have more than 15 years’ experience have both joined house.
The new Partners are focusing on Barnes, Putney, Sheen, Battersea and Clapham, strengthening the agency’s presence in South West London, with Wimbledon and Coombe already covered by current partner Guy Leaning.
House Partnership was founded more than eight years ago by former Savills directors Andrew Giller and David Carter to sell country properties in Surrey and Sussex.
“By stripping out large central costs, we believed we could offer our clients a better service where the person you meet is the person you deal with, and be more profitable as a business,” said Giller. “We also realised that we could do so much more online, not only selling houses but the lifestyle they enable.”
Today, the team has increased to 18, with a head office in Cranleigh, Surrey, and offices or “pods” in Clapham, Wimbledon, Esher and West Sussex, with 15 Partners covering a substantial area from Central and South West London right down to the South Coast.
The agency does not operate as a franchise; rather partners who are experienced at a senior level in the estate agency sector are invited to join.
“While most agencies start in London and expand outwards, we’ve done the reverse. We started in Surrey and Sussex and moved up the A3, primarily because we were meeting applicants looking for country homes before they had even sold in London, so it’s natural that we wanted to help our clients not only to buy but also to sell,” said Giller.
“We are delighted to welcome Jasper and Sam. Our ethos has always been to have amazing, experienced Partners who provide an unrivalled quality of service and advice. Both have years of professional experience in their respective areas, so having them on board adds hugely to our breadth of expertise,” he continued.
Colliver will cover Barnes, Putney and Sheen for house,, while Wylie is focusing on Battersea and Clapham.
Giller added: “Most agencies these days are target-driven, so there’s little cooperation between offices. Our approach is totally different: we’re collaborative and very old-school in the way the partnership works: we refer business between our Partners, everyone knows what’s going on throughout the business, and it’s all for the benefit of our clients.
“Also, the experienced Partner you meet is the person you’ll deal with throughout your entire sale or purchase, unlike other agencies where you’ll deal with different people in a branch office.”
